This study aims to assess the impact of social support on the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children in Kinshasa. In particular, it examines the influence of child care centers on their overall well-being. Five centers were included in the study: The Bénédicta Children's Reception and Reintegration Center ("Care-Benedicta"), the Enrica House ("Home of the Child Jesus"), the Monitoring Work, Education and Protection of Street Children (“OSEPER”), the Samaritaine Work and Love and Freedom. A survey, using two scales (quality of life and social support), was carried out among 130 children from these centers. The results show a significant relationship between social support and the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children. They also reveal that three of the four variables studied influence social support, while only one variable impacts children's general well-being.
