This study analyses the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the obsolescence of skills and the employability of workers in sectors with high automation. AI replaces technical and administrative skills, but creates a demand for strategic and creative skills. Coping strategies, such as continuing education, reskilling and self-learning, are proving effective in countering this obsolescence. The employability of workers depends heavily on their ability to train and adapt to new technological requirements. Public policies must support these efforts to ensure a successful transition to an automated labour market.
