This thesis focused on the contribution of microcredit in reducing household poverty among FINCA/UPN clients. Indeed, this study analyzes in depth the beneficence of microcredit as an important tool to help households escape poverty and while offering them the hope of accessing basic social services. In addition, this study allows the optimization of microcredit programs by helping microfinance institutions improve their services and maximize the positive impact on beneficiaries. As a result, it highlights the benefits and challenges associated with access to microcredit for both beneficiaries and the community as a whole. This research used the survey method, materialized by the use of the microcredit contribution assessment’s scale. With this instrument, we carried out several visits to the FINCA/UPN Agency to interview clients who had requested loans. In this agency, we extracted an occasional sample of 120 clients. The expected results show that microcredit has had a limited impact on improving the household income of these clients and their living conditions. On the other hand, it has allowed them to have access, in a moderate way and in the short and/or medium term, to basic social services (education, health, housing, etc.), to acquire a certain autonomy and empowerment, as well as satisfaction with life and to develop different future prospects.
