The social reintegration of children affected by armed conflict represents a major humanitarian and societal challenge in many regions of the world, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The case of the Kamuena Nsapu militia illustrates the devastating consequences of armed violence on children, who are often forcibly recruited and manipulated for combat purposes. This phenomenon leads to profound disruptions in their development, education, and integration within their communities of origin. Faced with this alarming situation, it is imperative to explore reintegration strategies that not only restore the rights and dignity of these children but also promote their sustainable integration into society. This article aims to analyze the challenges encountered in the reintegration of these children, by evaluating current initiatives and systemic obstacles, and by proposing recommendations based on best practices in social rehabilitation. This work is intended as an essential contribution to the discussion on child protection and sustainable peace in a region still marked by the aftereffects of armed conflict.
